Instead of the practice of fasting during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, I think in Egypt people eat more during this month than any other time of the year.

Every day is a feast - the breaking of the fast is filled with mountainous amount of food. Gluttony is the operative word.

Not that I mind.

I'll be in Prague on from Sep 1 to Sep 9 for a wedding. It will be a real vacation this time - no more quasi work while vacationing bullshit that I have had to deal with in the past years. An Icelandic friend is finally getting married.

Old School: This is an old picture unearthed on Facebook back from my middle school in Tarakan

I upgraded my weblog to the latest version and restore my old content. So now this blogs contains all of my writing on back to 2004. There were other writing scaterred around the web but this site contains the bulk of them.

Why return? I miss writing on my own space. I have been blogging on the home page of nomadlife.org but as because it is a community garden blog, it is not the place for me to write more personal things.

This blog hardly receives any update between 2007 up until now. That's a huge 2.5 years gap. First it's because the weblog software that I used was out of date and got soil by spammers (I hopy you are all go to hell). The second is that I got tired from blogging on this space and real life took over. The world turned to shit as well in 2008 with global recession, et all. It's not a happy time to be an entepreneur during this time but heck, we survived it and we are rolling again.

I can't believe this is your third birthday that I missed, now that I'm currently in Malaysia and you are already back in Czech Republic.

I enjoy so much our travel to the hills of Laos earlier this month, although I carried that bag :) Thank you for the tweet memories and I am looking forward to be with you again. I love you.

It feels great to be back in South East Asia. I love the vibe, the food and the unabashed optimism for the future.

I am being graciously hosted by a couple from Argentina and a girl from Poland in a convenient location in the city.

The flight with Egypt Air was full but thankfully uneventful. I'm telling ya, Egypt Air has the best pilot in the business. The touch downs were example of perfection.

I manage to make friend of a Malaysian engineer currently working in Cairo, who still bewildered with the way of the Egyptians. Fear not, it will take only a century to understand them.
